Leadership Promotions
As part of Scott Carver’s ongoing commitment to our people and the team’s professional development, we are excited to announce three recent promotions within the practice.
Andrew Walsh has been promoted to Senior Associate, and now joining the leadership team are our new Associates Emma Leckie and Jerome Saad. These three promotions bring into our leadership team an increased diversity of skills, professional drive and commitment for our clients and projects.
Andrew Walsh, in being promoted from an Associate to a Senior Associate shared,
"I have had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and phases at Scott Carver, while also playing a role in shaping parts of the business. I am proud of the positive impact our work has on people's lives and our commitment to reducing environmental impact. I look forward to the next phase of my career growth with the Scott Carver team."
Andrew has instilled a strong sense of rigour to the Scott Carver design process, where sustainability and engagement with First Nations design principles has been a key component of his focus. This has been evidenced through his involvement in multiple design excellence competitions and leading teams through DA’s, design development and delivery phases. In addition to his architecture, Andrew is a passionate photographer of nature and architecture, having completed numerous international artist residencies and exhibited his photography locally.
In being promoted to an Associate, Emma Leckie brings to the team a focus on the public nature of architecture, including cultural, education, community, sports and residential project experience. In playing a key role within our Sustainability Committee, and our RAP Committee, Emma supports our focus on identifying how our projects can create long and lasting connections and contributions for both our clients, the community, and the built environment.
On discussing the promotion, Emma shared that: "I am incredibly excited to be part of the studio's next chapter. I am proud to be part of a team that is committed to pushing boundaries and creating innovative design. I look forward to continuing to grow and sharing my passions with the team."
Jerome Saad has been promoted to Associate. As a Registered Architect, Jerome holds a dual degree in both Architecture and Engineering from the University of New South Wales and has worked in the built environment for more than ten years.
Jerome first joined Scott Carver as a student, and has progressively grown within the practice, through both his project work and client relationships that he deeply cares for. During his time with Scott Carver, Jerome has been an instrumental part of a broad range of projects across the mixed-use residential, retirement living, hotels, and public sectors.
Through his work, Jerome has come to gain a deep appreciation for the importance of design and delivery across the full life cycle of a project, with a particular focus on working with the building contractors to deliver on our design commitments.
Within Scott Carver, Jerome plays a key role in mentoring our graduates as they pursue a pathway towards registration; whilst helping to drive the social and cultural activities amongst the team.
In Jerome’s words: "I am grateful for Scott Carver's continued guidance and the opportunity to deliver exceptional architecture with exceptional people."
Jerome is a fantastic example of the career pathways available within Scott Carver, having started here as a student of architecture. Now as a Registered Architect and Associate, Jerome plays a key role in mentoring graduates as they pursue a pathway towards registration; whilst helping to drive the social and cultural activities amongst the team.
On behalf of the team at Scott Carver, we wish the very best to our promoted leadership team as they enter this new and exciting stage in their careers!
