Senior Associate at Scott Carver, Thomas Hansen is experienced in the design and management of an extensive range of high value, complex projects within the sectors of education, community, mixed-use, multi-residential, government, corporate fit-out, health, master planning and commercial.
Thomas brings a client and user-centric approach to each project and is fascinated with navigating multi-faceted processes to develop solutions which reflect the aspirations of the client and enrich the lives of users and wider community.
A clear and succinct communicator who engages people, Thomas applies both lateral and systematic thinking to understand and resolve problems, this approach enables him to comprehend and connect both big picture and detailed thinking in order to unlock project opportunities.
Thomas is a tenacious and ambitious leader, his design talents are underpinned by a sound understanding of business, marketing and strategy, and he is currently furthering these skills and knowledge by undertaking an executive MBA degree through AGSM at the UNSW Business School.
Thomas has a collaborative approach to his work, which is most influenced by design in its purest form and committed to simplicity, minimalism and an honest representation of materials and ideas. Some of Thomas’s recent significant works include the award-winning Tonsley Tafe, Mona Vale Surf Life Saving Club, The Landmark Tower and the Armidale Hospital Redevelopment.
