Since joining the Scott Carver team in 2004, Sandra supports the team in delivering documentation for various projects, earning valuable experience in residential and retail projects, from DA stage through to CC, Tender & Construction.
Sandra’s strengths are in project administration, document control and research of product information. Career highlights include Sandra’s opportunity to travel to Papua New Guinea as part of her degree and to Nepal in 2018. These visits strengthened her keen interest for socially responsible architecture and the importance of helping communities to strengthen their status by empowering them to improve their lifestyle – an idea that can still be applied to projects amongst greater Sydney.
It was Sir Norman Foster who originally inspired and then motivated Sandra to study architecture. Since then, Sandra has looked upon Japanese architecture and the influence of materiality - in particular timber by way of its form and texture. Sandra believes in design that allows users a sensory experience, finding particular enjoyment in the creation of dramatic effects as a direct result of the interplay between materiality and light.
