Veridian + Kogarah RSL Landscape Architecture
A breath-taking rooftop cinema with 360-degree views
Challenge
Our challenge for this mixed-use project was to create excellent amenity for the different project elements and bring them together; the Korarah RSL club, the Wesley Medical Facility and the new residential apartments. The substantial landscape and communal open space offer needed variety, so that residents could enjoy both active and passive activities.

Insight
Veridian is an exciting contribution to Kogarah and this gateway site on Railway Parade, stitching into its context and establishing a benchmark for future development in the precinct.
Solution
The urban amenity is reinforced at street level with dining, café and bar areas fronting the new community club, offering a new alfresco experience and a vibrant new destination. There is a landscaped podium level, which provides an outdoor garden and relaxation space for the residents and their guests, extensive Public domain upgrades, which provide a large programmed communal podium.

Design inspiration
Design inspiration
The design inspiration for the landscape in a development of this nature was to provide a sanctuary, where people relax. The concept of having a 360-degree view and the city skyline as a backdrop drove the idea of the rooftop cinema, which provides something unique.
