A vibrant new public community space for a growing community
To develop the existing Scheme and Stage 1 DA of this project to meet both Lane Cove's retail and community aspirations, transforming the Rosenthal Avenue Car Park from 170 surface level car parking spaces, to a retail precinct and large community space over 500 underground car parks.
In 2008 Lane Cove Council adopted the Lane Cove Village Structure Plan. The Plan sets out the long term vision for how the Village should evolve over the coming decades and was developed following extensive research and community consultation.
The Rosenthal Project creates a vibrant new community space to assist with village centre growth and is ‘More Lane Cove than Lane Cove’. The jewel in the crown is a vibrant public domain that will provide much-needed open space in the heart of Lane Cove village. Features include a BBQ/picnic area, performance stage and children’s play areas. ALDI and Coles will be located one level below ground, accessed from the park and car park levels.
