A luxury micro hotel room design solution
Challenge
To design a hotel concept room that provides accommodation based on a much smaller floor plan than traditional ones, without sacrificing the levels of quality or amenity guests require.
Insight
While the Australian market is in its infancy, the micro hotel will soon be welcomed by consumers, developers and hotel operators alike. Some of the most recognisable hotel names, the larger brands, internationally, are looking at providing rooms as small as 18 sqm.
Solution
Concept design – Fifteen, which comes in at just 15sqm, can now be easily replicated and adjusted for clients. The micro hotel room concept is really just a change in floor area without compromising on the comfort, quality or amenity, which challenges the star system. This concept is all about the guest experience. It’s a space that could easily sit at a four star level, with everything easily accessible.
