Crowne Plaza Coogee Refurbishment
Hotel design to enhance the urban experience
The Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach is a prominent building on the skyline of this iconic Sydney shoreline. In recent years, this hotel has faced stiff competition from new hospitality offers in the area. Scott Carver were engaged to breathe new life into the dated façade of the building, reposition the property and create intrigue to lure new customers to the restaurants inside.
Our attention was focused on the podium levels, which would have the largest impact on people passing by. This was achieved by adding fine grain design features and detailing, such as louvred awnings and greenery, to create a true urban seaside resort feel to the building.
Our Architecture and Landscape Architecture teams come together with great success on the pool level. The new infinity edge pool, located at level two, is nestled within lush landscaping and provides a multitude of opportunities to lounge, socialise or host events – or simply take in the uninterrupted view of Coogee Beach and the Pacific Ocean beyond.
