Nicholas has 20 years’ experience and has been exposed to all aspects of the industry through rigorous learning in small to large practices. He believes architecture should have a profound impact on our lives and should not only shape our space physically and socially, but should also touch us personally. Nicholas’ strong design skills combined with his technical abilities puts him in a unique position to understand a projects constraints, challenges and, most importantly, opportunities, which generally results in individualised solutions that are site specific. He believes that building form and planning are pure and driven by these challenges and opportunities, materiality is celebrated for its strengths and pragmatism, and nature is respected from environmental performance through to context appreciation.

In an age of disposable consumerism, architecture has the potential to create equilibrium and be the ‘constant’, but in order to do this, Nicholas believes we must design environments that have purpose, that last. Several of Nicholas’ projects have received awards and he is regarded in the industry as an expert in the Commercial, Residential, Hospitality and Public / Civic Sectors. Some of his most recent significant works include The Landmark Tower, Mona Vale Surf Club, the Macquarie Bank building on King Street Wharf and The Star Multi-Use Entertainment Theatre.
