Jonah is a student of Architecture at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. Currently in his final year, he has been exposed to a variety of architectural themes both practical and theoretical which form the foundation for his belief that: architecture is the physical manifestation of art, science and place. In 2016 he participated in an international collaboration with Keio university in, Japan, studying the architecture and urban interventions of Tokyo. This gave him an appreciation for how built form in a city can positively transform public life.
Prior to his professional pursuit in Architecture Jonah came from a background in hospitality. Responsible for the fit-out and management of Café Figaro in Ramsgate beach, Jonah has developed an embodied understanding and sensibility for the ‘user’ allowing him to design practical spaces for people to inhabit. Today, Jonah remains highly motivated to absorb as much as he can, so he may further contribute to the built environment.
