Scott Carver were commissioned as part of a team, to design and implement a new master plan for the Western Precinct. The golf course was totally reshaped to allow for flood storage capacity and to create a focus for the residential community. The new course (Graham Marsh) was shaped to preserve stands of existing vegetation. The earth profiling and water elements provide both visual interest and a golfing challenge, and are a feature of the design layout. The landscape character reflects the style of the resort with the use of blue stone walls and hoop pines. Residential precincts are connected via the use of green open space and pedestrian links. The land management structure is under a Community Title Scheme that permits a holistic "eco responsive" approach to water management across the site including bio filtration, detention, harvesting and effluent reuse for landscape purposes.
