RAS Exhibition Centre Expansion

This proposal is part of a limited competition to find ways to expand the RAS Exhibition Centre to enable it to host an expanding Sydney MICE market.

The design proposes a new entry as a ‘lantern’ clad in an inflated ETFE skin. This way the doubling of visitor numbers and the increased complexity of event programming could be accommodated without threatening the centres image, which is affirmed through the Dome of is principal hall.
