Stimulus Housing - Planning Approvals

Scott Carver provided independent planning expertise for approximately 50 social housing development projects requiring environmental and development assessment across New South Wales under the Nation Building and Jobs Plan.

The process included the preparation of planning reports which examined the likely redevelopment and/or rezoning potential of sites involving site inspections and familiarisation with the localities and relevant Council planning controls. Scott Carver prepared Environmental Impact Assessments under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 involving the assessment of architectural, landscaping, engineering and drawings and planning and specialist consultant reports against relevant policies, guidelines and planning controls as well as its environmental effect and planning and design outcome. A key aspect of the project was community consultation and liaison with the client, proponent and its consultants as well as relevant government authorities to resolve planning and design matters. A key component of the project was follow up and resolution. Sites were located in areas such as Albury, Bankstown, Blacktown, Campbelltown, Cessnock, North Gosford, Wagga Wagga, Windale and Yagoona.
