The building has been re-skinned on all elevations with glass, metal and stone clad facades. The eastern façade facing Macquarie Street is a contemporary composition of transparent, glazed curtain wall and spandrel panels, with infill windows between metal clad spandrels.
Complete internal refurbishment of finishes, services and amenities has greatly extended the useful life of the building. Careful planning and management of regulatory authorities has meant that upgrading has been possible without any consequential loss of floor space. In fact the amount of lettable area in the building has been justifiably increased by sensitive extension of the top floor.
