How do designers choose what is cool and what is not. What is the latest trend? What is current? What inspires and motivates them?

With over 200 samples volunteered and voted on by popular opinion, reality was tested, teased and tried, to triumph in the essence of what is ‘uber’ cool design inspiration.

The outcome of our cool wall debate, akin to the top gear format for rating cars at a Pecha Kucha pace, exposed examples of the built environment from across the globe to inspire our new generation of designers.

If only it was a clear outcome, we could patent the results. Design remains a challenge worth pursuing.
